SERIES THREE —
In Search of Our Souls: Christian Faith in a Postmodern World
April 15-29, 2007

Michael R. Walker, M.Div., Ph.D. (Candidate)
Theologian in Residence

What does authentic spirituality look like today? Modern science and technology, and common assumptions about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness have shaped us in profound ways that we don’t even realize. As a result, God is not glorified in us as He should be, and our souls are often left restless, wandering, or just plain dull.

By examining how Christian spirituality intersects key aspects of modern life, we can begin to recover the passionate spiritual life and become more faithful witnesses to Jesus Christ. Remembering that we are called not to be conformed to the patterns of this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:1-2), we will search for clarity in a culture of confusion.
